Daystar Mother Daughter event February 10 2018

On the Road to Joy with the Angel of Happy Meetings

Dear Mother and Daughter,

The Women’s Apostolate to Youth cordially invites you to a Mother-Daughter Retreat (for girls in grades 7-9) devoted to reflecting on how our journey through life is profoundly affected by our choice of companions.

Youth are devoted to their friends and deeply influenced by those with whom they choose to share their lives. As they encounter the new and often daunting challenges of adolescence--and sometimes experiences of genuine suffering--they tend to rely heavily on these friends for advice and support. Given how much is at stake in how these challenges are faced, it is critically important that the young develop a sound understanding of the true meaning of friendship and a sure set of principles for assessing the moral character and spiritual depth of their peers.

Join us for this wonderful opportunity to forge a stronger bond between the two of you by sharing and deepening your devotion to the great Archangel St. Raphael--chosen by God to accompany the young on their journey through life and to bring them safely to the destination--and the companions--God has prepared for each one of them. The retreat includes talks, and special activities (fun!), as well as opportunities for confession, adoration and Mass.  ~The Women’s Apostolate to Youth
